Winnipeg (1-5 SU &ATS) scratched in the win column two weeks ago, but returned to mediocrity at Toronto, scoring measly 11 points. One week after being celebrated, quarterback Ryan Dinwiddie catapulted to earth. Dinwiddie wasn’t awful, passing for 224 yards, just not efficient when he needed to be on the opponent’s side of the field. The Blue Bombers might not be in bad spot; with 29-15 ATS record in home games revenging a same season loss.

Montreal (3-3 SU & ATS) ended three-game losing streak with 40-point offensive blitz and tries for consecutive for second time in 2008 and another versus Winnipeg. Veteran field general Anthony Calvillo, leads aerial attack that is the best in the CFL at 328 YPG. The Alouettes learned something last week they forgot about, as Avon Cobourne rushed for a game-high 119 yards and the offensive machine got back in sync. For unknown reasons, Montreal has had issues playing on Friday’s on the road with 8-21 spread record.

For the first time in four years, British Columbia (3-3, 2-4 ATS) is a bit of a mystery. The Lions have looked as unbeatable as ever in a few contests, however have been incredibly below average at other times, like in loss to Edmonton last week in 35-24 defeat. Such can be life with quarterback Jarious Jackson, who was an ordinary 19 of 36 passing for 217 yards, which included two interceptions. Even with last week’s effort, B.C. is 36-18 ATS in weeks five through nine.

Edmonton (4-2 SU & ATS) goes for the sweep and trying to distance themselves from the Lions. Signal caller Ricky Ray was brilliant 23 for 30, passing for 392 yards and two touchdowns. He managed to chug in the end zone a couple of times by himself and led attack that rolled up 463 yards. Outstanding efforts and spread covers don’t last long for the Eskimos, who are 0-6 ATS in road games after gaining 350 or more passing yards in last outing and same feeble 0-6 ATS after two or more consecutive wins against the spread over the last three seasons.
